The shelves of the Rare Book Room have wonderful old records in their notebooks and boxes. One such notebook has 115 marriage records. Each marriage is indexed twice, so you can search for the groom or bride.

These records were collected by Baptist Minister, William T. Milliken.

In Oregon, the minister or person performing the marriage was required to keep the license in his possession. These records were donated to the GFO manuscript collection. In addition to the information stated in the index, the record gives the dates of the license and marriage, the witnesses, and the residence county of the two persons preparing to marry.
